Festival of light and sound- Eden Project 25th November- 30th December, 5pm-8pm
Voted at the top of The Guardian’s 10 Christmas spectaculars in 2016, the Eden Project’s winter landscape is transformed with light projections, dramatic soundscapes and live music. Expect big from the world’s largest indoor rainforest, and arguably the most well-known attraction in the UK. This evening extravaganza has to be seen to be believed.
Santa Surf and Fun Run- Newquay Saturday 9th December 10.30am
In Newquay, the home of British surfing, The Wave Project is holding a Santa fun run and Surf competition on the world famous Fistral Beach, with entrants dressed as the man himself. A great day out for all ages for a charitable cause, nothing quite prepares you to see Santa riding the waves!
Padstow Christmas Festival 7th-10th December
Padstow harbour comes to life, attracting over 50,000 visitors enjoying world famous celebrity chef’s including Rick Stein, Nathan Outlaw, Paul Ainsworth and Michael Caines delivering cooking demonstrations, the Christmas Market itself, with food, drink, arts and craft and pop-up stalls. The main stage will host a packed programme of live music, don’t miss Santa and his lantern parade, and of course the most stunning firework display over the harbour on Saturday evening.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan Christmas Fair 9th – 10th December
The mysterious secret gardens of Heligan were re-discovered 25 years ago, now Europe’s largest restoration garden with over 200 acres of Victorian, pleasure grounds, sub-tropical gardens and estate revealing a lost world of traditional and rare breeds, wildlife and ancient woodlands.
Heligan’s Christmas Fair invites over 80 local artisans, creators and makers to sell their wares in the most magical festive atmosphere. With seasonal foodie fares available, this is the perfect day out, and an opportunity to purchase some unique Cornish gifts.
