Easter holidays are upon us and come rain or shine there will be 3 weeks to keep the children happy and make some treasured memories.
Don’t let the English weather spoil your family time- if you are still deliberating whether to book a break by the sea, here are some suggestions all within a short walk of our hotel……
For a unique family fun day visit Pirate’s Quest a short walk from Newquay Town Centre, escape into a world of piracy, myths and legends, with a live pirate crew, the immersive walk-through experience includes theatrical actors, amazing special effects and an interactive treasure hunt. Older children and adults will love the “Scare section” which can be avoided for younger pirates or faint-hearted! Discounted tickets are available for guests at the Atlantic Hotel reception desk.
Escape Surf School
All the family can learn to surf with our approved surf school, led by Pro Surfer, Mike Young, a private lesson will get the family up and riding the waves.
The beautiful Towan Beach is the venue for your lesson, the beach faces North-West which means it picks up swell (which us surfers love) but can be very sheltered from the prevailing westerly winds, which means the waves are usually clean, and lined up perfectly – ideal for learning to surf, reception can book discounted lessons for guests.
Newquay Sea Safaris and fishing
Offering exciting sea safaris and fishing trips an unmissable day out can be had. Whether you want a short fishing trip or a day out to spot Cornish wildlife, Newquay Sea Safaris and Fishing offer an opportunity of a lifetime to witness dozens of different species (and maybe even dolphins!) in their natural environment.
Indoor leisure facilities, Newquay Town Centre & award winning dinner
All holidays need and a rest and relaxation day, a day to pad down to breakfast, sit and take in the views with a mid-morning coffee, and relax in our indoor leisure facilities. Perhaps a little stroll into Newquay town, or around the headland before heading back for another swim before dinner.
Our AA Rosette restaurant, Silks Bistro offers fine dining options, freshly caught seafood and children’s menus, totally family friendly, you can enjoy stylish food, wines and service without a worry.
Newquay has 14 of them, whether it’s the famous Fistral Beach, with golden sands, world-class waves and cool shops and cafes, Lusty Glaze (named Britain’s best beach), the miles of sand and dunes at Crantock, or the picture perfect Watergate Bay, there is a beach for everyone, don the wellies and macs if it’s rainy, or the sunglasses if we are lucky and find your favourite beach.
We hope we have given you some inspiration for your Easter holidays and are looking forward to welcoming our Easter guests….. if you haven’t booked your break, we have 1 last sea view family room available over Easter weekend and some availability during the holidays, so if you can book a break then do- you won’t regret it!
