We welcomed Celebrity Big Brother runner up and ALLSTAR Austin Armacost on our VIP Spa Package this month.

Read our exclusive interview on his first impression of Cornwall, his thoughts on our Hotel, and his 2017 plans……

Austin, We hear this has been your first visit to Cornwall, what do you think?

I found it beautiful even though it was a bit of a foggy day. The fresh sea air blew through the windows and rejuvenated me every couple of minutes. Listening to the sea gulls outside the window also just added to the coastal ambiance. The people were also extremely friendly, inviting, and entertaining. 

You certainly deserve a VIP Spa break after such a busy start to the year- what made you choose the Atlantic Hotel?

First and foremost was the price. I am always nervous about finding a “package deal” that seems to have everything you need with an incredible price. However, the Atlantic went above and beyond in all aspects (food, treatment, facilities) and I thought what a wonderful weekend getaway. The Atlantic is much more than just a hotel & spa… You can truly spend the entire day on the property with so many amenities at your fingertips.

As part of your Spa package, you enjoyed lunch in our AA Rosette Restaurant, Silks- what did you order?

We started with the oysters and followed with the belly pork and sea bass pasta. Everything was hot, tasty, and done with it’s own twist. The champagne and wine selection was impressive. The dining room itself also offered a view everywhere you turned and so much natural light. I enjoyed several cocktails throughout the day sitting in different parts of the dining room / bar area. 

We hope our Spa treatment left you relaxed and refreshed, what was the best bit?

I had a full body massage and enjoyed every second and every inch of it. She was calming and relaxing herself and that helped me to relax. Also getting a massage while overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is something I had never done, PRICELESS! Then taking a dip into to the pool and jacuzzi truly helped me get into a “zen zone.” 

Any exciting plans for the year ahead we should know about?

Unfortunately in my business (television) we aren’t always aloud to discuss upcoming projects but you will be seeing me on television again soon. I also am singing with a new film agent in London so may be on the big screen here in the UK sooner than later. In my personal life, my partner and I are headed to America in a few days for him to meet my family for the first time.
