Perfect Post-Summer Food at Silks Bistro

As the summer months draw to a close it’s the perfect time to indulge in some top-quality comfort food at Silks Bistro Newquay. As the only restaurant in Newquay town to be awarded a rosette, we’re proud of our dishes and here are our recommendations for a perfect summer wind down.

Silks Bistro Appetisers and Starters

Start with an appetiser of chorizo and roasted shallots in a red wine reduction to scintillate the senses or perhaps try the tempura of seafood with lemon and sweet chilli.

We recommend taking in the last of the summer flavours with the goat’s cheese mousse with pickled blackberries and brown bread crisps to start. If a taste of the sea is more your style, the seared scallops with pork rillettes and a smoked carrot and coral puree will be able to invigorate your taste buds before moving onto the main…

Silks Bistro Mains

The mains offer a variety of local flavours, such as our roasted fresh vegetable, tomato and goat’s cheese linguini, trio of pork loin with crackling, butternut squash puree, crushed peas and summer vegetables, or battered cod and hand cut chips with garden peas and homemade tartar sauce.

Silks Bistro Desserts

For dessert, finish your dining experience with a zesty summer taste with our lemon and raspberry baked cheesecake with raspberry sorbet or our passion fruit posset with mango sorbet. Alternatively, indulge yourself with some of our favourite selection of cheeses such as Cornish Camembert, Cornish Yarg and Cornish Blue.
