On-site we have the modern & contemporary Silks Bistro & Champagne Bar, serving a mixture of homemade and locally sourced cuisine, including the all-important sea side treat of Fresh Battered Fish & Chips, accompanied by a chilled glass of Champagne. The perfect match. After a long day exploring the coast or catching waves in the surf retire to our outdoor terrace with a refreshing cocktail to enjoy the sunset from what we believe to be the best sunset view in Newquay.
If you are looking to venture and explore outside of the hotel, just a short stroll away lies Newquay Harbour. Crystal clear waters shimmer on a summers day, locals jump from the harbour wall for a refreshing dip, and boats come and go. The harbour is a special place with dining available as well as boat and jetski hire.
A few minutes walk in the opposite direction from the hotel and you will find the world-famous Fistral Beach. A surfing mecca, and known worldwide as the UK’s best surf spot.
Here you can join the locals and try out our favourite pass time with surf lessons and equipment hire available along with a beachside bar and diner. Fistral is also home to some of Cornwall’s most spectacular sunsets. Summer skies light up a warm orange as the sun sets over the last surfers in the ocean, or later in the year from September onwards beautiful pink sunsets begin to create their magic.
For the little ones as well as all our beautiful beaches and many water sports available, there is also The Blue Reef Aquarium only 5 minutes walk into the Centre of Newquay. Or perhaps take a walk on the wild side and visit Newquay Zoo and adventure with the big cats for the day.
Newquay has several surfing events throughout the year and the biggest of all is the annual Boardmasters event every August, a world-known fantastic surf, skate and music festival. Thousands of visitors and locals descend on Fistral beach to watch the competitions, along with the huge music festival featuring the worlds biggest artists taking place at a separate location.
For a truly unique experience unlike anything you will of seen before, take a trip to the Eden Project. Explore massive covered Biomes, trek through the world’s largest indoor rainforest and immerse yourself in the calm fragrance of the Mediterranean Biome.
