The Atlantic Hotel has started a special offer on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for its Silks Bistro dinner guests, with two for one on items on the Silks Bistro specials menu when you show us your cinema tickets.
To celebrate our cinema date night offer, we’re going to tell you our favourite upcoming films in September and October!
Misery Loves Comedy
Misery Loves Comedy is something we’re really looking forward to here at the Atlantic Hotel Newquay. An interview style film featuring over 50 very famous actors and comedians, the feature offers insights into their journeys, which have been built on being the centre of attention. The main aim of the film is to shed light on the burning question of: Do you need to be miserable to be funny?
The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials
2014 saw the release of young adult novel turned film, The Maze Runner, which soon became a popular choice with cinemagoers. A group of young boys with no memory were trapped in a maze with only one option – band together for a chance to escape their holding place. The Scorch Trials follows on from the first instalment, revealing what happens when they finally escape the maze…
The Martian
Some of the most inspirational and interesting films that have made their way onto the big screen in recent years have been sci-fi, and this is no exception. A mission to Mars is sent askew after Astronaut Mark Watney is presumed dead after a fierce storm separate him from his crew. However, Watney survives, and is left stranded on the hostile planet with one mission: send a signal to earth.
The Walk
The Walk is an interesting release, based on the true story of Philippe Petit who walked between the World Trade Centre towers in the 1970s. Directed by the prestigious Robert Zemeckis who resided in the Director’s chair for films such as Forrest Gump, Cast Away and Back to the Future, it’s certainly going to be worth a watch!
Macbeth
This Shakespearian classic is getting a makeover this October with an extremely strong cast, including Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. For those not familiar with the story of Macbeth, it’s based around a duke of Scotland who meets a trio of witches that offer him a prophecy. The prediction states that he’ll become the King of Scotland. Macbeth becomes consumed with the witches’ prophecy and resorts to murdering the King in order to steal the throne. Full of mystery, drama and intrigue, we’re really looking forward to this classic Shakespeare interpretation!
