Why Take a Long Weekend in Cornwall

15 September 2015

Here at the Atlantic Hotel Newquay, we understand how important it is to unwind and take a long weekend occasionally.

Whether you’re a Cornish native or just visiting, there’s plenty of reasons to take a long weekend in Cornwall and we’re going to share just a few of our favourites.

1) Everyone Else is Back at Work

One of the best things about a long weekend is that when most people re-join the work force on Monday, you still have the day off to relax. Everywhere is quieter and you feel like you’ve got Cornwall all to yourself. Go and explore some of Cornwall’s heritage like the various castles situated throughout the county, wander around the usually busy Cornish towns, or take a trip to somewhere like the Eden Project which is always busy on a weekend and enjoy the space.

2) Who Wants to Work a Monday Anyway?

Monday is notoriously the worst day of the week for many workers. Back to work after a fun-filled weekend with the thought of a long week ahead is enough to dampen anybody’s spirits. But prolong your weekend by one more day and feel like you’ve had a short holiday instead.

3) Take Advantage of Offers at the Atlantic Hotel

Here at the Atlantic Hotel Newquay we’re always trying to find ways to indulge our guests and make sure they get time to unwind.
