Halloweden
Minibeasts have overtaken then Eden Project, and the world-famous attraction is inviting young insectologists to learn all about these fascinating creatures. A classic family favourite, head to Flambards during October half term to experience some Halloween thrills alongside their usual serving of adrenaline. Flambards have a range of activities for thrill seekers from free face painting, pumpkin trails and the always popular fireworks display on the 30th of October. Perfect for young families that love the excitement of the theme park, with nothing too scary.
Maze of Horrors
Definitely not for the faint hearted. Families are welcome to this ultimate Halloween trail but parent discretion is advised. Outside of the maze, fire jugglers and other performers are there to dazzle you when you’re not getting spooked!
Train a dragon at Trerice Manor
If a historic Elizabethan manor with its stories of resident ghosts isn’t enough for a perfect Halloween setting, Trerice is opening its doors for people to come along and train their own dragon! Attendance to the dragon training is free with general admission to the manor. Lose yourself in storytelling or take part in a step by step workshop of how to train your very own magical beast. Away from the beasty activities, children can partake in their usual Tudor activities from brass rubbing to playing dress up.
Pendennis Castle
From one Tudor making to another, Pendennis Castle in Falmouth will be opening its doors for little ones to enjoy a half term full of not-too-spooky storytelling and an epic Halloween quest for children to embark on. Navigate the depths of the castle whilst solving clues and riddles in order to become a ‘Halloween Hero’.
Grown ups can also have a half term full of fun with the breathtaking views across Falmouth harbour that the castle offers. It is also teeming with brilliant history, originally built by Kind Henry VIII to defend our shores right up until World War II.
